Ann Pallesen is a Seattle-based artist. She received her BFA from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins. Having an appreciation for pictorialism and photography from the turn of the 19th century, she finds lith printing an intriguing analog process to express her vision. The warm tones, hard shadows and soft highlights create a timeless atmosphere of delicacy and nostalgia. She has exhibited her work nationally at Benham Gallery, Photo LA, Gallery 291, Jennifer Schwartz Gallery, Wall Space/Utina, PCNW, Blue Sky Gallery (drawers), among others. Pallesen was invited to give an artist talk about her photographs at the Portland Art Museum in 2016 and has been published in Black & White magazine in the UK, Camera Arts, Diffusion, Lenscratch and Lensculture. Previously she served as the Gallery Director of PCNW for nearly two decades where she produced over 150 exhibitions with emerging and renowned artists.
