Peggy Washburn is an interdisciplinary photo-based artist whose work resides in the permanent collections of the Bibliotheque Nationale de France, The Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas, The Ralph Lauren Collection, Museo Nazionale di Fotographia and Seattle University. Along with numerous solo shows her work has been included in group exhibits at The Frye Art Museum, The Seattle Art Museum Gallery and The Whatcom Museum of History and Art. She taught for a number of years at PCNW and currently serves on the Academic Advisory Board for the University of Washington’s Certificate in Photography program. She also works with PPAC to bring photography to at-risk youth in Philadelphia. She lives in Philadelphia, balancing her time between art and portraiture. Upcoming exhibitions include Aperture Gallery’s group show of Lens Culture Art Photography Award finalists.
