Robert Wade (b. 1945, Los Angeles) lived in northern and southern California during most of the 1970s and 1980s before arriving in Seattle in 1989. He holds a BA in psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, and an MA in communication from Stanford University.
Wade is a member the Board of Trustees of the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington. Past volunteer activities include president of the Contemporary Art Council of the Seattle Art Museum, board member of the Center on Contemporary Art (CoCA) in Seattle, and board member of the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra.
This image and others by Wade are part of the 2018 PCNW exhibition All Power: Visual Legacies of the Black Panther Party, and have been shown in New York, Seattle, and now Ellensburg, WA.
